If you thought the FDA does a great job in regulating what goes into our food supply, you’ll be equally appalled, if not more, on its regulation of beauty and personal care products.

The same way you look at food labels, you should do the same for your beauty products.

There are thousands of chemicals in your products, many of which are being absorbed into your body.

This industry is highly unregulated and there is no pre-product approval before a product hits the market and enters your home. A minuscule approval process exists, but only for color additives and ingredients classified as over-the-counter drugs.

Many of these synthetic chemicals are skin irritants, skin penetrators, endocrine disrupters and are carcinogenic.
I can’t go through all of these harmful chemicals, but here are the top 23 ingredients you should highly avoid in beauty and personal care products which I compiled them all in one file with the possible health effects.

I called it “The Nasty File” because anything that causes my asthma to worsen and my allergies to get out of control is “nasty”.

I am excited to announce that I now have an Amazon Influencer Storefront set up!

I have several lists set up for all the non-toxic beauty and personal care products that I have used or researched and included them in my blog posts.

I haven’t copied every single item that I have used on the blog yet but I started off with a huge chunk and included many items that I have purchase for my household, family over the past year.
